The first ever club performance of Armada Music boss in Slovenia will also serve as official launch of his global radio show A State of Trance on Radio Salomon. MAKATON

Birmingham born Makaton has greatly contributed to the city's reputation of the industrial techno stronghold. Starting with 1999 Makaton's own label Rodz-Konez has been serving as the sole outlet for his one-of-the-kind sound apart from a couple of recent releases put out by Token and RSB. Although Makaton's music can generally be described as dark and industrial there's a lot of variety and progression to be heard throughout his releases as it's all about pushing foward for the man. Having no interest in DJing Makaton is known for his expressive live sets with a heavy peak hour dancefloor appeal.

VOIDLOSS

Voidloss is the name given to the main musical output of a multi-faceted artist with a long and diverse music history starting with industrial bands in the early nineties, through to becoming a key player within the infamous United Systems free party network in the UK's rave/warehouse scene, and eventually forming the commercially successful international hit label DirtyBass Records, as well as a studio providing mastering services, production and live PA tutoring.

Abandoning the easy commercial path and returning to the underground Voidloss is the deeper, darker side to the artist infusing cinematic musicality with an unbridled approach to the strangely compelling occult arena always looking to incorporate new sounds and genres into the creative process and focus it through the eyes of techno. The project has garnered acclaim with his own imprint Singularity Recordings as well as releases on Surface Recordings, Dynamic Reflection, Labyrinth, Subsist, Hard Signal and more.

Voidloss' live PA combines an endless changing pallette of sounds, rhythmic structures and soundscapes into emotionally charged techno imagery providing something more than just a mix of beats. You can expect an explorative and ritualistic journey for the mind as well as the feet.

CASUAL VIOLENCE

Manchester's native Casual Violence is steadily gaining a reputation for his organically deep, hypnotic and emotionally dark techno based music. Never 100% aimed at the dancefloor but rather focused on subtle and gradual build-up of rhythmic energies, textures and atmospheres his productions and live sets require a degree of time and thought from the listener.

Using turntables for over 15 years Casual's mixing is tight and solid and while track selection is generally more dancefloor-friendly than his live sets it still stays much on the deeper side of electronic music. He is currently holding DJ residencies at the UK’s much respected techno club Detatched as well as Hemlock Nights over in Amsterdam.

Production-wise Casual Violence is working on a new material for his own forthcoming vinyl imprint Self and is a regular on both UK's digital Singularity Recordings and Dutch Aftertaste Recordings where his full debut EP "Why So Few" was well received. Other notable releases of late include the Blackhaus EP on Detatched and his recent remix of Inigo Kennedy’s "China Rising" on Rodz-Konez.

SYSTEMIC

Systemic's first experiences of electronic music were provided by the legendary Orbit club in Morley where he would religiously spend every possible weekend absorbing the frequencies of the world's finest techno and electro artists inspiring him to master the art of DJing. He soon started to receive his first bookings going on to win a DJ competition that secured sets at events around the country. Having already studied music from a young age Systemic proceeded with obtaining a degree in Music Technology & Audio Systems.

With both being regulars at the Eastern Bloc Records shop in Manchester Systemic's music found its way to Martin Wareham resulting in a series of successful EPs on Jactation Records during 2006-2008. Gradually Systemic started to release on various other labels including the Portuguese imprint Labrynth run by Michaelangelo with his tracks being remixed by the likes of Phase, Paul Mac, Paul Damage and Sir Real. Finally 2009 marks the establishment of Duality - a platform for Systemic's own output alongside talented and cutting edge artists from around the world.

SIEGE

Since breaking into the UK rave scene in 2001 Calvin Whittaker aka Siege been playing all over the country and has established himself as a DJ with creative and ultra tight mixing style. Just like both of his mates Systemic and Cas Vio he is also a resident of the UK's finest techno night Detatched.

Sieges has also been into production side of things for the last 5 years and has recently started to put out his own releases. Having a wide range of influences Siege favours an experimental approach to his productions often blending the elements of various styles and sub genres while retaining a firm dancefloor appeal. Siege also records and performs under the name Solitude Suite alongside Casual Violence.

It's been only a few years that tINI is playing in clubs, but she is already considered as one of Germany's most wanted newcomers. Her involvement with rhythms and beats started at the age of 7 when tINI, who is originally from Munich, began playing drums, hich finally led her to first production attempts on her brother´s Atari.

tINI's DJ adventures started with new romantics, later with grunge and underground hip hop up to rap. Firstly it was an experiment with hip hop and big beat, which brought her to first trials at the turntables. As her interest, knowledge and skills developed, her DJ style became more electronic when she stumbled upon Moodymann's "Amerika".

In summer 2003 tINI started playing frequently in clubs and events in and around Munich. 2004 she began touring through Europe, which led to her own nights and residencies -"tINI all night long"- at the Garden Club in Munich from 2005 until 2007.

As tINI and Loco Dice happened to meet several times, while performing at the same spots, her musical qualities were noticed and so she joined the Artist Alife and Desolat Family in 2008. This was a booster for her career as more and more clubs became aware of her talent. She took this chance and finally became a constant part of the worldwide Desolat Nights.
tINI, who is known for her curly hair and her powerful, vivid temper, knows intuitionally how to enchant the crowd whether during the warm-up or the main time.

Layo & Bushwacka! are one of electronic music’s most esteemed duos. Comprising of Matthew ‘Bushwacka’ B, a percussionist in the London School Symphony Orchestra who waas converted into a member of the infamous Rat Pack after a warehouse party in ‘88, and Layo Paskin, a North Londoner immersed in the acid house scene who met Mr C at one of the legendary Clink Street parties in 1988, before together setting up their world renowned night club, The End. It was via their mutual friend Mr C that Layo & Bushwacka! first met, whilst Matthew was working at his studio, and by the mid 90s the two had started writing music together. Over a decade later, the partnership has yeilded three artist albums, three mix albums, internationally renowned club residencies and a superb record label.

By 1999 they’d already composed their debut album, ‘Low Life’, released on End Recordings, the label spawned by The End. The album announced the arrival of the duo as a force in electronic music, with a record that brought together electro, house and breakbeat fused with blues, dub and downtempo, all underpinned and informed by their collective experience of underground culture. This inclusive and open minded approach to sound became the bluepint for their future work.

Their sophonmore album followed in 2002 this time released on the mighty XL Recordings. Entitled ‘Night Works’, the record featured their unforgettable top ten hit’Love Story’, and took their sound onto a bigger and broader canvas, selling 100,000 copies in the process. The accompanying live show brought further acclaim with stunning shows from Homelands to Sonar, whilst their famous DJ sets had now garnered residencies at some the of the world’s finest clubs including Space in Ibiza, Sirena in Brazil and of course The End in London.



Their End residency, known as All Night Long, became one of the capital’s most revered nights with Layo & Bushwacka! taking the club through an edifying tour-de-force of electronic music. The night gave birth to their second mix album ‘All Night Long’, following the success of their first ‘The End’ in conjunction with Mr C, also released on XL Recordigns, in the late 90s. The album was a perfect reflection of their DJ sets, inspirational, educational and all encompassing it slaloms through all manner of house music and even their own reworks of such timeless classics as Bebel Gilberto’s ‘So Nice’ and Sly & The Family Stone’s ‘Dance To The Music’, all without missing a beat.

The expanisve musical tastes demonstrated on ‘All Night Long’ came together perfectly with the release of their third artist album, ‘Feels Closer’, in February 2006. Released on their newly launched label, Olmeto Records, ‘Feels Closer’ saw them broaden their sonic palette with the addition of live musicians, including legendary percussionist Mino Cineleu, on a record that unites their myriad of influences without ever losing sight of their eleftronic background and home territory. Highlights of the record include Green Velvet’s vocal turn on the electrifying electro-techno of ‘Life 2 Live’, the warm downtempo of ‘Sunshine in Ipanema’, featuring the talents of Brazilian legend Rogerio Flausino, and the jaw-droppingly incredible ‘Isn’t This A Lovely Day’, for which the boys fuse vocals from Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong with some killer live percussion. The album was again highly crictically acclaimed and cemented their reputations among dance music’s most gifted.

Since the release of the album, their label Olmeto has gone from strength to strength, releasing a consistent stream of choice nuggets from the album, wth exclusive remixes and B sides. The impressive roster of remixers has included the likes of Loco Dice, Jesse Rose, Green Velvet and UNKLE. Bushwacka! has also released some fantastic solo 12″s on the label, and as time goes on Olmeto will continue to provide an exclusive outlet for Layo and Matthew’s creativity. Olmeto’s monthly residency at The End, wich has taken the place of the All Night Long residency, sees Layo & Bushwacka! continue to play extended and far reaching sets of electronica in the main room, whilst their impeccable programming has seen them bring in tow of dance music’s most promising labels Simple Records and Freerange to provide music for The End’s second room and sister bar AKA at the Olmeto nights.



The most recent addition to Layo & Bushwacka!’s catalogue is their mix album, Global Underground 33; Rio. Borm out of the ongoing love story between the duo and their second home of Brazil, Layo and Matthew have a unique and unshakeable relationship with the world’s most effervescent nation. Disco one sees the boys scour their record collections, revisiting gems from the past twenty years, flowing through the music that helped shape the DJs they’ve become, whilst disc two represents the new wave of electronic music with a track listing that includes the most dynamic producers in dance music today.

Layo & Bushwacka!’s reputation as two of the world’s foremost DJ duos is rock solid. Three artist albums have proven them remarkably talented producers, capable of mixing styles, tempos and genres to create enduring and engaging electroinc music. Their trio of mix albums and international club residencies have show they are masters of the turntables, sonic connoisseurs who can guide a dance floor on an epic journey through the many facets of their sound. Hrvatski dubstep, reggae, drum & bass festival objavio je line-up za 2010.g.

U trećoj godini održavanja Outlook festival se seli na veću lokaciju. Domaćin će mu tako biti tvrđava iz 18. stoljeća, Punta Christo pokraj Pule. Dubstep guru Skream potvrdio je svoj nastup. Tu su još i Rodney P & Skitz, Zinc, Roska, Oris Jay, Man Like Me, Debruit, Scorzayzee i The Ragga Twins. Ulaznice nisu nimalo jeftine, 89 funti. U nastavku je kompletan line-up.

Lani je pred više od 3000 posjetitelja svirao u Pirovcu a ove godine potvrđen mu je nastup na tvrđavi sv. Nikole ispred Šibenika, 30.07.

Zbog specifične lokacije organizator u cijeni ulaznice nudi i besplatan prijevoz do iste.

Richie Hawtin iz Kanade za mnoge je jedan od čudotvoraca elektronskog zvuka. Kanadski DJ, producent, ali prvenstveno veliki zaljubljenik i promotor ove scene ima svoju mnogobrojnu publiku diljem svijeta.

Nakon nekoliko godina lani je s euforijom dočekan u Pirovcu a ove godine ostalo je za nagađati se gdje će nastupiti. O Richieu smo dosta pisali ove godine pa tako i to da je 2010., godina buđenja njegovog usnulog projekta Plastikman.

No, osim svirki pod tim pseudonimom odlučio je ne prestati DJ-ati čime kralja minimal techno glazbe s nestrpljenjem očekujemo u našim krajevima.

Richie Hawtin a.k.a. Plastikman, rođen 1970 u Velikoj Britaniji, od devete godine živi u Windsoru, Ontario. Sa elektronskom glazbom ga upoznaje njegov otac, inžinjer robotike u General Motorsu, te ovaj počinje svoje glazbeno obrazovanje sa pionirima techna kao što su Kraftwerk i Tangerine Dream. DJ-anjem se bavi od svoje 17-te godine i uskoro ga bookiraju najpoznatiji klubovi u Detroitu (Shelter, Music Institute), u kojima techno vrte i dvojica od trojice izumitelja Detroit techna: Kevin Saunderson i Derrick May.

Iako su svi tadašnji DJ-evi i producenti bili skeptični oko Richievog uspjeha, mršavi kanađanin im je dokazao svoj talent i inovativnost osnivajući svoj +8 Records label zajedno sa John Acquavivom. S Acquavivom izdaje pod više aliasa, solo kao Richie Hawtin, Plastikman (NovaMute) i Fuse (Further Underground Subsonic Experiments, Warp/TVT). Iako su se isprva udružili da bi napravili megamix Derrick Maya za puštanje na radiju, kasnije John i Richie izdaju prvu ploču, Elements Of Tone, kao njihovo prvo izdanje za +8 Records.

Kasnije za taj isti label izdaju i Kenny Larkin, Speedy J i Mark Gage, te +8 Records postaje poznat po laboratorijski preciznim i polaganim acid basslineom. Projekt Plastikman nastaje 1993., sa dva izdanja za +8 Rec, singlom Spastik i albumom Sheet One. Njegov alter-ego, Fuse, više melodièan i raznolik projekt, izdaje album Dimension Intrusion za britanski Warp Records label, a kasnije ga licencira i Wax Trax!/TVT za izdavanje u Americi.

Tako Richiea upoznaju i Aphex Twin, B12 i Autechre koji ostaju impresionirani njegovim izdanjima. Njegovi daljni eksperimenti i pokusi sa technom prikazuju ga kao kralja intelligent techna, i jednog od najinovativnijih DJ-a / producenata 90-ih.

Nije mala stvar biti otac digitalne tehnologije. Lost and found

Drinks

Health care
In case of health problems any of the visitors, immediately contact the security service. Three ambulances will be present at the venue all time and Drogart team, which will give away free water.

what is kaZantip republic

kaZantip republic is the name of the biggest, longest, craziest, liveliest and most unusual techno, trance and house music event in the world!




put simply, kaZantip republic is a self-contained 60’000 square metre resort situated directly on a beautiful Black Sea beach on the Crimean peninsula in the Ukraine. The spacious complex comprises ten unique, exquisitely designed dance floors, fifteen bars and lounges as well as three restaurants. it has been created to allow you to dance, party and have fun outdoors by the sea 24 hours a day, day and night, over a period of 5 to 6 weeks from the middle of July until the end of August.



more than 150’000 young people, mostly between 16 and 30 years old, come together at this party. They travel from the former Soviet Union, the whole of Europe and the rest of the world to live the dream of partying peacefully day and night accompanied by music from the turntables of the most renowned DJs in the world. listening to music, dancing, meeting new people, having fun together is the number one priority in kaZantip republic. more than a million partygoers in the last ten years can confirm that kaZantip republic is an experience that stays with you forever. simply a must for everyone in this world who wants to holiday in paradise.



the kaZantip republic philosophy
the self-contained complex can only be entered and exited through one gate. however, kaZantip is not simply referred to as a holiday complex but has been symbolically proclaimed an independent “republic”. It has its own government with preZident (organiser), its own foreign ministry (communication with the imperfect world outside) with its own ministers (ministers of happiness, dance and rave, Intellect, visuals and illusions etc.) and laws. by far the most important law to obey is:
„S C H A S T I E“ – be happy and have fun!



entry is granted to those who can show a multipass, a so-called visa to kaZantip republic. this multi visa costs a one-time fee and is valid for the entire duration of your stay, be it one week or six weeks. It is valid for the whole complex and includes all ten dance floors.
at kazantip everyone who has bought a multipass, gets a virtual citizens of the republic with all its rights and obligations. citizens who play against the rules (constitution) of kazantip, lose their multi pass and are deported back to the imperfect world. those that need to be repeatedly deported, will be barred for life from entering the republic.
however, everyone else can keep the multipass for life and gets the chance to acquire every year an new multipass and participate on the lifestyle and spirit of kazantip. it belongs to the cult, to wear the multipass from the past years like trophies.



the mars complex
as a visit to the kaZantip republic can be called, without doubt, out-of-this-world it was just a matter of time until the organisers captured a real planet from the sky, namely Mars. by day the top names from the kite surfing world elite meet at the Mars site for their celebrated annual contest where it seems that they use their jumping prowess to try and capture even more stars from the sky.



and when day turns to night, earth dwellers congregate on the site of Mars with its starlit backdrop, on the faberge dance floor and the multi-level space-age trance floor. others simply marvel at a safe distance, from the elevated bridgeways, at the various strange creatures landing in the complex.  feeding is forbidden by the way!



in order for earth dwellers to gain access to Mars, you first need to answer some questions on the Russian web site before you arrive in Popovka. only then will you gain entry to the complex. however, on arrival in kaZantip we are happy to help those earth dwellers for whom the Russian language is alien gain access to the red planet and its territory.



history
kaZantip republic first came into being as an independent event in 1992, the same year as the street parade. the origins of the kaZantip republic are to be found in an annual surfing contest which always ended with a big party. this party was extremely popular not just with the surfers but also with the growing number of spectators and visitors. as a result, it developed spontaneously from year to year to become an ever bigger and lengthier event. at the outset it went on for just a couple of days. today it goes on for 5 to 6 weeks. at the beginning it was a small insider event for a couple of hundred insiders, today it is the biggest techno, trance and house event in the world!
